About this role

ABOUT THE ROLE The Commodity Marketing Coordinator leads efforts in exploring and establishing innovative market opportunities for stakeholder-produced commodities aligned with the Innovative Agriculture and Marketing Partnership for Idaho (IAMP) project. This position identifies marketing opportunities, builds partnerships, and promotes products through branding and promotional materials throughout supply chains from producers to consumers, bridging the gap between sustainable farming practices and market demand. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage, write, and edit marketing material production across various mediums - Facilitate partnerships between producers and buyers to promote target agricultural commodities - Support farmers and commodity groups in meeting market requirements, including certifications, traceability, and sustainability metrics - Design and implement strategies to increase market access for producers - Participate in or organize promotional events in support of marketing - Work with the IAMP internal team and partners to promote the benefits of target agricultural commodities to buyers and consumers - Develop marketing plans, creative briefs, and executive briefs for campaigns MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Public Relations - OR two years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related field - Three years working in the marketing, brand development, or social media space, including at least three of the following: developing and managing marketing plans, analyzing marketing data, content marketing story identification and development, web authoring, social media management, graphic design, photo and video shoot art direction, or supervising and directing the work of individuals or leading project teams SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to work nonstandard business hours as needed - Experience with agricultural production or marketing in Idaho is preferred - Experience using a content management system, producing marketing collateral, and project management applications is preferred - Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and Google Analytics 4 is preferred SELECTION PROCESS 1.
