Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 am -4:30 pm
Location: Ames, IA 50010
In this Accounting Support Technician 2 role, you will:
Provide technical support for financial and accounting matters
Audit, reconcile, deposit and report on financial transactions
Review, research and adjust funding transactions and discrepancies
Process financial transactions following DOT policies
Assist customers with accounting-based questions

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
Three years of full-time work experience inprocessing financial or related data within established systems and procedures, including verifying, entering, or maintaining transaction records.
A total of three years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in accounting or business equals one year of full-time experience.
Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes eighteen months of full-time work as an Accounting Support Technician 1.
