Human Services Supervisor-CASA

ABOUT THE ROLE The Snohomish County Office of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Division is seeking a supervisor to lead Program Coordinators who coach and support volunteer advocates for children in the juvenile dependency court system. This role ensures case compliance, quality, and adherence to Washington State RCWs, Superior Court Guardian ad Litem Rules, CASA Division policy, and National CASA/GAL Association standards. This is an on-site, deeply meaningful role focused on servant leadership, supporting vulnerable populations, and ensuring every child has their voice amplified. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Supervise and evaluate direct report employees, providing advice, instruction, training, and work assignments. - Participate in designing human services programs, including planning, goal setting, budgeting, subcontracting, and developing monitoring systems. - Prepare and review reports, work orders, timesheets, and program documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. - Monitor and evaluate operations against program goals and develop corrective action plans for insufficient performance. - Respond to inquiries and notify the Division Manager of sensitive issues, compliance concerns, or emerging trends. - Coordinate activities with other divisions, county agencies, and community partners. - Assure compliance with statutes, regulations, and quality assurance measures to meet funding and accreditation requirements. - Perform related duties as required, which may include public records, grant writing, training, outreach, or special projects. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, social sciences, or a field directly related to human services. - Four years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of human services programs, including two years of supervisory or leadership experience. - Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. - Must pass job-related tests. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Valid Washington State Driver's License, unrestricted except as to vision, required prior to appointment. - This is an on-site position; daily in-office presence is expected (no remote or hybrid schedule). - Evening and weekend work is an ongoing requirement to support volunteers and attend trainings or outreach events. - Must consent to initial and annual background checks, including Criminal History Screening, Child Abuse and Neglect History, and National Sex Offender Registry screening. - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Snohomish County will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa. SELECTION PROCESS 1. This is a continuous recruitment to fill one immediate vacancy and create an eligibility registry for future Human Services Supervisor openings in the CASA Division. 2.
