ABOUT THE ROLE The State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, Division of Innovation and Education Excellence, is recruiting for a Long-Term Non-Permanent Education Specialist 2. This flexible/hybrid position is open to Alaska residents only and involves working with school and district personnel statewide, prioritizing rural districts with limited behavioral health support capacity. The role addresses behavioral health challenges, provides professional training on best practices, and supports the mental, emotional, and physical health of students and educators through proactive and crisis response efforts.
