Senior DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure

ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior DevOps Engineer serves as a Site Reliability Engineer for current and new automation services, reporting to the Infrastructure Management division. The role involves writing, updating, and maintaining code while supporting deployment and infrastructure changes in a 24/7 operational environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Monitor CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and application health dashboards. - Triage alerts, apply documented fixes for low/medium issues, and escalate complex incidents to Senior DevOps. - Write, update, and maintain basic scripts, YAML configs, and Terraform/Ansible modules under senior guidance to support deployment and infrastructure changes. - Perform smoke testing and validation of deployments in dev/staging environments, verifying that monitoring, logging, and alerts function correctly after code or config changes. - Participate in design sessions and code reviews with senior engineers while building expertise in Linux, containers, Git, IaC, and observability tools. - Maintain wiki, up-to-date runbooks, deployment guides, and troubleshooting documentation to reduce knowledge silos and support faster incident response. - Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A master's degree in computer science from an accredited college or university and three years of progressively more responsible, full-time, satisfactory experience in IT including applications development, systems development, data communications, networking, database administration, data processing, or user services. At least eighteen months of this experience must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity. 2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and four years of progressively more responsible, full-time, satisfactory experience as described in option 1. 3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, and six years of progressively more responsible, full-time, satisfactory experience as described in option 1. 4. A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to options 1, 2, or 3. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and must possess at least three years of experience as described in option 1, including the eighteen months of administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory experience. Note: Undergraduate credits may be substituted for a maximum of two years of required IT experience. Graduate credits in computer science may be substituted for a maximum of one year of required IT experience. Credits may not be substituted for the eighteen months of administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - 6+ years of experience in DevOps platform engineering or a related field. - Expertise in writing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, including module development and state management. - Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure services, including virtual networks, storage, and compute resources. - Experience with Kubernetes containerization and orchestration. - Familiarity with Jfrog Artifactory, HA configurations, and the ELK Stack. - Experience with automation tools such as Ansible. - Knowledge of OpenShift, Elasticsearch, Ansible Automation Platform, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure storage and networking, project management, data processing/pipelining, Logstash filters, Kafka deployment, NSX-T, and VMware vSphere is preferred. - Due to the 24/7 nature of operations, candidates must be able to work overtime, weekends, and/or nights/evenings.
