ABOUT THE ROLE The Village of Broadview is seeking a Chief of Police to lead a well-respected and professional department serving a diverse, family-oriented community of approximately 8,466 residents. The Chief is appointed by the Mayor with concurrence of the Village Trustees and reports to the Village Administrator. This role involves planning, directing, managing, and overseeing all police department activities, including crime prevention, patrol operations, criminal investigations, records management, and emergency management. The Chief serves as an integral part of the Village's executive leadership team, collaborating with other Department Directors on interdepartmental issues. The department operates with a $6 million budget and 37 employees, including 31 authorized sworn officers.
